Hey! I'm Nathalie Noumen.
Also known as The Extensionista! I'm a salon owner, wife, mom of four amazing children and mentor.
I started out working in the cosmetology industry, and quickly realized it was my passion. I attended cosmetology school at Delmar College in Calgary and became a licensed hairstylist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I join the course if I'm not a licensed hairdresser?
Yes, you can take this course if you are not a licensed hairdresser.
However, you will have to check with your local cosmetology board to make sure you can provide extension services on clients without being a licensed hairdresser.
Some provinces and some states don’t require you to be a licensed hairdresser in order to provide extension services. But there are other states/provinces that require you to be a licensed hairdresser before you can provide any services related to hairdressing to paying clients.
The reason why we also offer this course to people who are not licensed hairdressers is that we have had some family members who wanted to learn how to do extensions so they could do their family and friends' hair. Especially during the covid-19 lockdowns when salons were closed.
Not everyone taking this course is taking it to start a hair extension business. Some sisters or friends just want to learn so they can do each other’s extensions and save some time and money.
So, whether you are a licensed hairdresser or not, I highly recommend that you practice, practice, PRACTICE before you start doing anybody's extensions. Sounds good?
Do I get a certificate of completion?
Yes! You can decide to get a certificate of completion in your name from the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY after you successfully complete this program.
You will just need to send us a video of you completing a full extension installation from beginning to end. We will review your installation and if everything looks good, we will issue you a certificate of completion in the method you choose to send us a video for.
You can send us your installations for multiple extension methods if you would like to be certified in multiple methods.
If we believe that your installation needs some improvements, we will be happy to give you some feedback on what you need to adjust to improve your installation.
Please make sure you send us your videos before the end of your access to the program.
So, yes, you get the option to obtain a certificate of completion and you can use that in your marketing to let potential clients know that you are in fact certified and they can trust you with their hair extensions.
When I sign up, will I have access to ALL extension training methods you offer in the program? Or will I have to choose only one method to learn?
When you join the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY, you will have access to the training videos for every single extension method offered in this program for ONE YEAR (extended access to 18 months if you pay in full). You can then decide whether you want to specialize in one extension method or you want to offer multiple extension methods in your salon.
Even if you decide to only offer one extension method to your clients, we believe it’s very important to still learn other extension methods so that you can compare and have enough information about each method in order to decide what works best for you and your clients.
And you can also better explain to your clients the reasons why you may prefer one particular method over another.
So, in the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY, you will learn multiple extension methods. And for each method, we will have multiple models with different hair lengths and different density. That way you can see how we tweak our installations based on each client’s hair.
Is the price of the course in US dollars?
Yes, all prices on our website are in US Dollars.
What's your refund policy?
The minute you join the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY, you will get your login information and you will immediately have access to the full course online. For that reason we do not offer a refund after you sign up for the course.
So, no refund under any circumstances.

After I sign up for the course, do I have to purchase extensions from you for my clients?
When you join the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY, you will have access to a list of trusted extension suppliers where you can purchase great quality extensions at a wholesale price. That way, you can create your very own brand of extensions and because you will get extensions directly from the wholesalers we use, you will be able to make a bigger profit on the extensions.
